Franklinton Tutoring Program

The Franklinton Literacy Initiative offers one-on-one tutoring in reading to children at Avondale, Dana, and Sullivant Elementary Schools through the Franklinton Tutoring Program. You don’t have to be a reading specialist to tutor a child—the skills you will need are simple and easy to learn.

The tutoring takes place during the school’s lunch hour on a day of the week that is best for you. Each tutor is assigned to a student and is provided with a folder of materials appropriate for the student’s reading level.

To apply to the program you will need:

Tutoring will start the week of October 4, 2010. New and returning tutors are required to attend an orientation session. Orientation session dates are…

Avondale Elementary School--September 14 and 22 from 12-1 PM
Dana Elementary School—September 15 and 20 from 12-1 PM
Sulllivant Elementary School—September 16 and 21 from 12-1 PM

Feel free to contact me with any questions. Thank you again for your desire to make a difference in the life of an inner city child!

Sincerely,

Anna Knotts
